Community work in today’s world has a prominent position through which it achieves many gains both on local and global level. For this purpose, Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service was issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Ruler of Dubai, upon a decree we, work team, seek to establish UAE as a place of solidarity and community service, and to extend appreciation to all the people of good and generosity.

The establishment of the concept of sustainable community development is the objective that the award work team aims to achieve through a clear and defined strategic plan. It does not only honor institutions and individuals but goes beyond this level to stimulate and urge individuals and institutions to provide the best community initiatives that positively impact society. The launch of the award website is a sustained declaration of community action in Dubai and all emirates of UAE as the award is one of the largest local contributions to support community development process. It is a moral award granted by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to recognize outstanding achievements in the fields of community work or spreading community culture and awareness of its foundations and importance for sustainability of community development in all aspects of life.

About Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service

Apperception Awards play an important role in promoting outstanding work, practices and achievements in all countries. Many have begun to recognize the importance of promotional awards and give them more attention. Awards create spirit of competition which is the basis of any creativity or distinction.

The award strategy began as an incentive in Europe and America, while a numerous international awards have been launched, such as Nobel Prize promoting science in various fields. Awards have been widely spread in the past century and have attracted interest in all levels of the world.

Dubai has used promotion awards strategy with high efficiency in order to stimulate local and international communities to positive communication and dialogue and to identify the best practices and outstanding achievements of these communities, and hence to exchanging experiences and knowledge to achieve joint cooperative efforts at local and international levels.
